Basic Questions
Is AI Storyboard really free?
AI Storyboard currently provides its core storyboard workflow without a paid subscription. Generation availability can depend on service capacity and provider limits.
Do I need to create an account?
No, you don't need to create an account or log in. Simply visit app.ai-storyboard.com and start creating immediately.
Where is my data stored?
Projects and generated results are stored locally in your browser. When you generate content, the request is sent to the AI service through our backend so the model can respond.
Do you collect my personal information?
No account is required, so we do not ask for your name or email. The website uses Google Analytics for anonymous, aggregate traffic measurement.
What browsers are supported?
AI Storyboard works on all modern browsers including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge (versions from 2020 or later).
Projects & Data
How many projects can I create?
There's no limit on the number of projects. However, browser localStorage typically has 5-10MB of space, so we recommend exporting and backing up important projects.
Can I access my projects on different devices?
Projects are stored locally in your browser, so they don't automatically sync across devices. However, you can export projects and import them on other devices.
How do I backup my projects?
- Open the project you want to backup
- Click "Export" in the toolbar
- Save the JSON file to your computer or cloud storage
How do I delete a project?
- Go to the project list
- Find the project you want to delete
- Click the delete icon
- Confirm the deletion
Note: Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
Image Generation
How long does image generation take?
Typically 10-30 seconds per image, depending on complexity and server load.
Can I regenerate an image if I don't like it?
Yes! Simply click "Regenerate" on any frame to create a new variation. You can regenerate as many times as needed.
Why do my images look different each time?
AI generation includes randomness for variety. Even with the same prompt, you'll get slightly different results each time.
How can I improve image quality?
- Be more specific in your descriptions
- Include camera and lighting details
- Use professional terminology
- Maintain consistent style keywords
- Try regenerating multiple times
What image formats are supported?
Images are generated in PNG format for high quality. You can export them in various formats when needed.
Video Generation
How long can videos be?
Videos are typically 2-4 seconds long. This duration is optimal for storyboard visualization and loading times.
What video modes are available?
- Image to Video: Animate a generated image
- Text to Video: Generate video directly from description
How long does video generation take?
Video generation typically takes 20-40 seconds per video, depending on complexity and duration.
Editor Features
Can I edit frames after generating images?
Yes, you can edit any frame's parameters at any time. After editing, you can regenerate the image to reflect changes.
How do I reorder frames?
Drag and drop frames in the scene list to reorder them. The new order is saved automatically.
Can I duplicate frames?
The current app does not include a duplicate-frame control. Add a new frame and copy the fields you need.
Is there a keyboard shortcut for quick actions?
The current web app does not publish a custom shortcut set for project or generation actions. Use the visible controls; standard browser and operating-system shortcuts still apply in text fields.
Technical Issues
Why is the app running slowly?
Possible solutions:
- Close unused browser tabs
- Generate images in smaller batches
- Check your internet connection
- Delete old projects to free storage
I'm getting an error message. What should I do?
- Refresh the page
- Check your internet connection
- Try the action again
- If the problem persists, contact support
Can I use AI Storyboard offline?
AI Storyboard does not provide a guaranteed offline mode. Loading the app and using AI generation require network access.
Privacy & Security
Is my data safe?
Yes. All data is stored locally in your browser. We never have access to your projects, images, or videos.
Are my generated images or videos stored on your servers?
No. Images and videos are generated by AI services but are not permanently stored on our servers. They are saved locally in your browser.
Can I share my projects?
Yes! Export your project as a JSON file and share it. Recipients can import the file to view and edit it.
